Without Golden Keys - a tribute to Gustav Klimt
February 27, 2008
Spring is coming closer and that means its time to get ready for the group show over at Compound Gallery http://www.compoundgallery.com and their “Masters Reborn” show. I have spent several hours covered in gold paint and acrylic now and created my biggest acrylic work ever, it measures 107 cm x 156 cm and is a tribute to Gustav Klimt. I had quite a few of his paintings in mind when working on it, but I am mostly influenced by his artwork ”Adele Bloch-Bauer”, and then I added my own flavor with colors and keys and birds (because… I love keys and birds) If you want to enjoy this live you have to go to Portland USA and check it out, but if you can’t then I have some creative previews for you! The first one is a full shot and then there’s a detail shot. I had so much fun… Thanks Matt for this opportunity!
