New look on website + new lowbrow artwork

Welcome to the new look of anneliolander.com. As you can see stuff is happening all the time, and soon enough I will have a portfolio part added as well as the possibilty to add comments. I look forward to it and owe sweet David Hjortsberg aka Razorfever a LOT for this! Thank you babeh!

This morning I couldn’t help myself, I had to taste the lemon white chocolate coming from Åre chocolate factory that I’m doing the label-illustration for. I wanted to keep the beautiful wrapping with the label on and take more photographes, but I couldn’t resist. Making chocolate labels is a fun project but it takes a lot of my time right now, however I try to squeeze in some other projects when possible. I can reveal that I will enter another competition soon for Hugo Boss perfume. I will be designing a poster with the bottle included and winner gets cash and a publication in i-D magazine. Yay, I’m looking forward to it! I will also make illustrations based on the UK all girl band “Robots In Disguise” and these will be published in the online mag/blog SUBvert magazine. SUBvert mag also wanted to make an interview with me later, but I will know more about that in a little while so I’ll let you know, kay? Finally before this month has ended I will make a patch for Sussed Out who is making a huuuge quilt-project! I will be using local lambs wool and it’s all 100% Anneli-made. The technique I am using for this patch is very old and you only use a needle to attatch the threads, no actual string or anything. In Swedish it’s known as “tova” but I have no idea what you call it in English. So there you go- some yummie projects coming up and to look forward to!

Here is my latest work called “on the other hand” which is about finding one’s self despite the things that surround us and affect us. It’s quite symbolic and surreal, just the way I like it. It’s also made quite huge since I’m hoping to make some huge prints for an all lowbrow exhibition in the future.
