Hello! Some news about what’s up 2008!
So; afternoon coffee and loads of news, isn’t it a perfect friday? First of all Im having a lil artsale/auction over at deviantart which is an artist community where you find me under the name “firemane”. I used to be a red-head. To join the auction you go here: http://firemane.deviantart.com/art/BIG-ARTSALE-01-85156757 and once there you can bid on old sketches/drawings. You have to be a member at deviantart.com to write a comment and make your bid. Next news (but I think I’ve mentioned this before) is that I’ll be illustrating the “Styling Guide for men” published by Pantagruel publisher in Norway along with Norweigean illustrator/designer Jan Eric Skappel http://www.jesdesign.net and the project will probably keep us busy all May-June, well maybe even a bit in July. On top of this I’ll be making some rad designs for a snowboarding company, but more on this later.
The Sketchel bags I made last year and that got showed off over at Curvy exhibition will be up for sale in June (yay!) over at http://www.myspace.com/sketchel . In the little picture below the flyer you can see one of my designs, 1st bag from the left! One of my fave illustrating girls Stephanie (Smitten by Stephanie) got her bag 1st from the right. I will also make some cute illustrations for this website http://www.ouchbyko-ko-no.com/ (her jewellery designs are just soo precious!) and people living in Portland, Oregon in USA can enjoy my work over at the “ready set go” exhibition in July over at Compound Gallery. I will have about 10 work hanging there that will later be up for sale via http://www.compoundgallery.com so it’s definately worth checking out! I hope I will make it to the release party of the “Pink Attitude” book in Rome, Italy on the 5th of June. And now that I’ve seen sweet Enrica Manari via Skype it’s worth just going there to give the girl a hug!

Sneaky as I am haha, as you may notice I’m dropping links here and there, and it’s just because I’d like to share the love!
Today I ordered some more Fabriano watercolor paper, and that is in times like this I realize what an illustrating nerd I am. Didn’t know a bit of paper on it’s way could make me this happy. I also ordered some new black and white ink, I’ve gone absolutely bananas with ink lately. And Matton (my art material-provider) told me they are running out on Ivory boards. Like; forever! “They don’t seem to make it anylonger, we can’t get it.” Is this for real? Seriously? Drawing with ink without ivory board is like drinking a drink without an umbrella and toxic colors- it just won’t do! Ah well, Friday is calling me, time to hit the shower and paint on some lipstick!
